5 Minute Speech On Importance Of Education

Hello everyone! Today we will talk about a very important topic related to life, and that is importance of education. Few of us are familiar about it, if you don’t know then stay relaxed. Today we will have a friendly discussion about importance of education.

First thing first, what is the meaning of education? In simple words, education means learning—the knowledge we get in school, college, or life. This is not only the knowledge of books, but what we see, observe and understand in our daily life, is also a form of education. Like, if you learn to do your things, it is also a form of education. Education does not just mean scoring good marks or passing exams, but it is also about understanding life, experiencing it and taking it ahead.

I still remember, once I was sitting with my grandmother, and she told me something important, which I still remember. She said, “Son, education shows the way to solve even the smallest problems of life.” “And in true sense, the more we learn, the more our world seems to expand.”

Let me tell you a small story. Once upon a time, in a village there was a boy named Sam. Sam did not like to attend school. He thought that going to school means wasting time; he found much more fun playing and roaming around the village fields. But one day, when a noble person came to his village, he explained to people that if you want to move forward with the world, then education is very important. He said, “Without education, you will have limited scope, but education takes you ahead in life.”

This incident impacted deeply on Sam’s heart and from that day he started giving importance to his studies. Gradually, he became brilliant at studies that the whole village became proud of him. This short story teaches us about importance of education and it gives us new perspective, a new path and shows new dreams.

If you want to do something better in your life, then importance of education is a must. Do not consider importance of education for getting a certificate or degree, it is a process to make your life better. Imagine, if you don’t know how to read and write, you will not understand many things. You won’t able to read newspapers, you won’t understand technology, and you won’t know much about the latest inventions in the world.

For example, consider our country, when the people of our country got educated, they freed the country; they transformed and took the nation ahead. Education is important not only for us, but for the entire society.

You might be thinking that education is not easy for everyone. Some people don’t get a chance to go to school, people don’t have money. But remember, if we give priority to importance of education, then sooner or later we will find some way. I remember when I was in high school; one of my friends did not have money to buy books, but our classmates got together and arranged books for him. The most important thing in education is determination, i.e. courage. If you take education seriously, no matter how difficult it may be, you can move ahead.

Now you might be thinking, “Guys, what will we do after studies?” Education is not just for getting a job. Education makes us a good human being. As we get educated, we learn how things work in the world, how and what people think, and how we can take our decisions. Education gives us self-confidence, teaches us to speak up for our rights, and teaches us to face the challenges of life.

Benefits of education are not limited to us. When we learn, we also inspire other people around us. For example, if you study well and your friends will also be get inspired and they will also feel that education is very important.

If a country has to be made strong, it is very important to educate its people. The changes which are taking place today in our society—like women empowerment, poverty elimination, and environment protection. This will be only possible when people are educated. When everyone has knowledge, they will be able to bring changes in their life and society.

So friends, this is a small discussion about importance of education. At last I would say that if you want to fulfill your dreams, then never ignore importance of education. This is a tool that will help you to secure your place in the world. You will be able to learn smallest things only when you are educated.

What you learn today, will shape your future. So, do not take education lightly. And remember, education is the key to a better and brighter future!
